Organic Lavender Sunscreen

Not only does organic sunscreen help protect our reefs from coral bleaching, but there are many health benefits that come along with choosing an organic alternative.
Avoid hormone disrupting chemicals with this all natural sunscreen! Many sunscreens contain endocrine disrupting chemicals, such as oxybenzone. This chemical has been banned in many places worldwide. My homemade sunscreen creates a natural barrier that stays on the surace of the skin.
Many of the ingredients in this recipe have a natural SPF. The individual ingredients are quoted as having this level of sun protection:
- Coconut oil: SPF 4-6
- Zinc oxide- SPF 2-20
- Shea Butter: 4-6
Important Note: This sunscreen is not waterproof.
